Welcome to Blog #75
September 7, 2024
Thanks for tuning in.
This will be a short one as not much brag-able progress this week other than organizing. Organizing and getting things in place is important and Jericho was a motivator. Jericho stayed until Wednesday and we just played around catching up, going to the beach and relaxing. She flew out on Mokulele headed to Kauai for a few days.
At last I am planning my back yard and started putting some weed barrier cloth down, sand and capstones which will form the floor. Ossipoff used these for patios and it is something I like and can easily do myself. Now, I just need a delivery of sand and more stones.
I have a wonderful new helper Ashlie and I feel so lucky to have her. She is pictured putting down some stones. She is very strong and together we can almost move mountains.

The native hibiscus are in full bloom and looking beautiful.

Next week I am taking a little trip to the East Coast to visit family so not sure if I will do another blog until Sept. 28th the first Saturday of return.
There will be some surprise projects in late Sept. and October so stay tuned. I have started doing some research for my next possible story/book and am looking forward to starting the interviews upon return.
Our monthly book club just read The Invention of Nature which is an amazing book about Alexander Von Humbolt’s New World. Alexander was a real adventurer when adventuring was not so easy, and we also learned Humbolt was Darwin’s mentor.
Aloha Nui,
Vicky
